The department’s Annual Performance Plan (APP) was approved after the final budget submission
which resulted in changes in the targets submitted, hence the changes in target for the 2022/23
financial year. The roll-over of funds is part of the targets that were set in the 2022/23 APP.
7KLUG 4XDUWHU 3HUIRUPDQFH 6WDWXV
As at third quarter, the department completed 3 083 housing against the annual target of 7 666,
serviced 2 860 sites against the annual target of 6 205 through a range of programmes and rectified
371 defective houses against an annual target of 1 120.
The department had no targets planned for the first three quarters for Informal Settlements Upgrading,
closed 8 historical projects against an annual target of 30 and did not achieve against its planned
target on the delivery of social housing units due to stalled projects.
In addition, 750 destitute beneficiaries were approved against the annual target of 1 050, 70 title deeds
were registered to eradicate pre-2014 backlog and 1 66 post 2014 title deeds were registered against
the annual target of 2 500.
