The institution derives its revenue mainly from sale of goods and services other than capital assets, sales
of capital assets and from interest earned. In 2021/22, the institution collected R733 thousand, thus
exceeding estimated own revenue collection by 45.7 per cent.
During the nine months of the 2022/23 financial year, own revenue collected is R654 thousand or 124.1 per
cent of the revenue thus an improvement from the R337 thousand which was collected during the same
period in 2021/22 financial year. The increase is as a result of interest earned on positive cash balances
from bank account as well as sale of capital assets.
