currently working on better coordination of the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA)

intervention in the Province and it has been identified as the key coordinator of all CETA funding in the
Province.

The province is committed in driving skills development and thus investing in transversal training through
OTP, which includes leadership skills as well as a basket of skills to enhance governance. Through this
programme, a total of 231 officials against the annual target of 300 were trained by third quarter.

Connectivity is one of the key factors for development and the province remains challenged in this regard
hence the continued investment on broadband, especially given the rurality and vastness of the province.

By the end of the third quarter, 504 out of the annual target of 1 100 sites for the current year had been
connected. Therefore, a total of 762 or 28 per cent of the 2 700 sites as per the current contract with State

Information Technology Agency (SITA) has been connected, benefiting mainly schools, health,
government and other public facilities.
