Overview of the Provincial Revenue and Expenditure (OPRE) Financial Year 2023/24

The Department of Transport received donor funding of R290 thousand in 2022/23 from the Road Traffic
Management Corporation (RTMC) for the purchase of patrol vehicles, cattle trucks, speed equipment and

road safety education.

Conclusion
The province will continue to ensure efficiencies are improved to support investment in provincial priorities
especially in respect of infrastructure investment and key service delivery programmes. Over the medium

term, the revenue improvement from the implementation of revenue study recommendations is prioritised
and the revenue from the new sources is evident under the departments of Public Works and Infrastructure

and DEDEAT.
