An amount of R100 million has been devoted back to National Department of Basic Education (NDBE) in
terms of Section 18 and Section 19 of the Division of Revenue Act, 2022, as amended. These funds will

be reallocated to both Gauteng and Western Cape Departments of Education for Education Infrastructure
Grant (EIG) related delivery activities.
