Table 3.2 above shows the conditional grants received by the province from 2019/20 up to the 2023 MTEF
period. Actual receipts increased from R12.733 billion in 2019/20 to the estimated allocation of R14.869
billion in 2025/26.

The conditional grant allocations in the 2023 MTEF were made available to the province based on the
allocations submitted to the National Treasury by transferring officers in terms of section 26(2)(e) of the
2022 Division of Revenue Act.
