8.1 Programme 1: Administration

Objectives: To conduct the strategic management and overall administration of the department. The

programme comprises of 2 sub-programmes:

x Office of the MEC: Rendering of advisory, secretarial and office support services; and

x Management: Conducts policy formulation, overall management and administration support of the
department and the respective regions and institutions within the department
